ICBM7 at RWTH Aachen, Germany, attracted Barkhausen scientists and users in July 2009  7th International Conference on Barkhausen Noise and Micromagnetic Testing was held on 15-16. July 2009 in Aachen, Germany and was hosted by the RWTH Aachen University.
The Conference attracted more than 60 participants from Europe and USA to discuss the Barkhausen Noise research results and applications. As the main interest arouse using the Barkhausen Noise in the characterisation of grinding burn, but many other subjects were also dealed with. The Conference participants evaluated the Conference to be a good source of Barkhausen Noise and good discussion forum for Barkhausen noise related topics. A lot of useful information about practical and theoretical approaches for the use of BN was exchanged among the participants. The Conference also gave useful information about what can be done with the BN, especially for beginners. It offered a concise summary of the newest advances in applications of the Barkhausen effect.
The Conference participants enjoyed a very well organized conference and interesting tours to the WZL and IPT laboratory and to the City of Aachen, thanks to the WZLforum at RWTH Aachen.
